The wind never arrives empty-handed. 🌱🪶
Hello Grubsters, it’s dirtgirl here!
The wind visited me today
Not for very long.
Just long enough to borrow my hat, tickle my hair and leave a tiny feather at my feet!
Which made me wonder...
Does the wind ever travel alone?
I don't think it does.
The wind always seems to be carrying something.
A feather.
The smell of rain.
A tiny seed.
A leaf that wasn't ready to land just yet.
Funny where wondering can take you.
The wind never arrives empty-handed.
It makes me wonder how many little adventures begin with a gentle breeze.
Perhaps that's how seeds find new places to grow.
Perhaps that's how feathers discover another patch of sky.
Perhaps that's how the smell of rain reaches us before the rain itself.
The wind must know so many stories.
It has wandered through forests.
Across beaches.
Over mountains.
Past birds' nests.
Across flower fields buzzing with bees.
Imagine all the things it has seen.
Sometimes I stand very still when the wind arrives.
Not because I want it to stop.
Because I don't want to miss what it has brought with it this time.
Now I'm wondering something else...
If the wind knocked on your door...
...what do you hope it would bring?
One more wonder...
Where does yesterday's breeze go when today begins?
Keep noticing.
Love,
dirtgirl 💚
