Get ready for dirtgirl’s Garden Party, Grubby Bucket Show, Happy New Year’s Eve Mud Party, Annual Nature Council, Bedtime Wagon Trail – plus more surprises.
We’ll also be building the world’s biggest mud pie kitchen, and inviting everyone to join in the fun!

Our live shows and community visits celebrate nature, creativity and the joy of getting grubby together. From singing about compost, to dancing in the garden, to planting seeds of change, or MCing events, each moment is filled with care and play.

We are excited. More and more families and children across the world are growing … growing a garden that is! They are growing in garden beds, on verges, in containers, on verandahs and balconies, up walls and in hanging baskets. The GIY revolution is well on its way. Families with young children are up to their eyeballs in gardening. It seems everyone loves growing. We want to share what we know about caring for a garden, especially about one of our favourite things – compost. In dirtgirlworld, we’ve been busy getting the community to make compost … now we want us all to get busy using it. Our plan is simple. Start a Compost Academy and get the world using compost, especially compost made from recycled organics. Watch out the updated, Costa’s Compost Academy coming in 2022!

Going on a holiday? Make sure you pack your planet loving values and take them with you. There’s so much fun to be had on holidays and the towns of the world want you to know you are welcome and they want to invite you to live like a local while you are in their town or city. Before you leave see if you can find out how your destination is caring for the planet. Do they recycle, is their community composting, where can you refill your water bottles? What can you do to live like a local and protect the beautiful place you have chosen to holiday. Stuff like …thinking about packing your own toiletries to avoid single use throw aways. Any way you can leave a lighter footprint where you are staying…. rocks…big time!
