Most butterflies feed on the nectar from flowers.

Butterflies have taste sensors on their feet!

Some types of butterflies like to go mud-puddling! They drink the water and take up the minerals from muddy puddles.

Scientists think there are between 15,000 and 20,000 different species of butterfly that call our planet home.

outside

Print and download this activity sheet. Then go outside and see if you can spot a butterfly. Tick the things that you can find!

music time!

Now it’s time to listen to my song “changes”.

caterpillar to a butterfly, clouds part to a deep blue sky, tiny seed to a massive tree, I pick the flower and pull the weed. Little egg to a dragon fly, as the puddle beings to dry. All change will always be, always changing constantly.
